Erasmus University Rotterdam is a leading European research university with over 2000 staff. It hosts one of the largest public administration research communities in Europe, and is among the top-scoring departments in Europe in terms of national and international journal article and book output. The department has strong links with the practice of public administration. It hosts a Bachelor and several Masters in Public Administration. The departments research is organized in two clusters: Comparative Public Services Innovation (CPSI) and Governance of Complex Systems (GOCS) The first cluster will host the project and is led by Professor Bekkers. The research in CPSI focusses on the if and how innovations contribute to the effectiveness and legitimacy of public services and service delivery processes. Members of the department participate in national as well as international networks in order to exchange information and experiences (e.g. IRSPM, EGPA, IIAS, ECPR).
