Dr Vital Put is an assistant professor on the topic of innovation and performance audit. His research interests concern the relationship between New Public Management and performance auditing, and the impact of performance auditing. Alongside his position as part-time researcher at the Public Governance Institute, he works as a performance audit manager at the Belgian Court of Audit. Most recently he contributed to several books on performance auditing. He contributed to the handbook on Performance Auditing: Contibuting to accountability in democratic Government edited by Londsale et al (Edward Elgar, 2011).
