Dr Beata Mikusova Merickova is an associate professor at Mateja Bela University in public sector economics and public services. Her research activities are focused on the public sector, public finances and new approaches to the provision of public services. Her research focuses mainly on the implementation of market management tools to the system of public services. Recently she published together with among else Prof. Nemec an article on the state of art regarding agencification in Slovakia and learned lessons. This has been published in 2011 in a special issue of the Transylvanian Review of Administrative Sciences (pp. 140-159).
