Prof. Ani Matei is professor of public economics at the Faculty of Public Administration, specialised on assessing the economic optimum in the public sector, models of local development and evaluation of the economic and social impact of corruption. Public sector innovation is found in several studies in the above fields as well as in many research contracts financed by national and European research authorities. The most relevant publications approach e-government services and European and regional comparative studies on e-government. He is General Editor of Academic Public Administration Studies Archive, as well as member of advisory boards of important journals of economics and social analysis in Lithuania, Romania, and  India. Author of relevant books and chapters in books, published by L'Harmattan, Paris, France, Lambert Academic Publishing, Germany, Taylor & Francis, UK.
