Prof. Jacob Torfing is a professor in the department of Society and Globalisation at Roskilde. He holds the chair of politics and institutions. Alongside this, he is director of the Centre for Democratic Network Governance and co-director of Collaborative Innovation in the Public Sector (CLIPS). Over the past ten years, Prof. Torfing has carried out considerable research on governance networks, public and private interactions, and the impact of collaboration on policy reform and service improvement. In 2009, he initiated a major research programme on collaborative public innovation that received a grant of 2.2 million Euros from the Danish Strategic Research Council. In 2012 he published a book, together with Eva Sorensen, on Interactive Governance (Oxford University Press).
