Prof. Victor Bekkers is the overall project leader of LIPSE and member of the project coordination committee. He is a professor of public administration and public policy and dean of the Erasmus Graduate School of the Humanities, Social and Behavioural Sciences. He is also president of the Dutch Association of Public Administration. His main interests are focused on the relationship between the role of ICT and new social media in the innovation of public policy processes and network governance. He has published numerous articles and contributions to books, for instance in the International Review of Administrative Sciences, Information Polity, Government Information Quarterly, The Information Society, Public Management Review, Policy & Internet and International Journal of Public Management. In 2011 he published a book, called 'Innovation in the public sector: linking leadership and capacities' (Palgrave/McMillan).
